selected engagements

Each one follows the same arc: the challenge, my approach, and what I delivered.

This work was completed in in-house leadership roles. Organizations are described by type, and figures are rounded, to protect their privacy.

Multi-site expansion

getting new sites ready to open

A multi-site early learning nonprofit

New sites, on a fixed timelineReadiness planning while existing sites kept running

The challenge

New program sites had to open on schedule, fully equipped and compliant, while the existing sites kept running as normal.

My approach

I led readiness planning with one roadmap that covered procurement, resource allocation, logistics, staffing, and the learning environment, so every piece had an owner and a date.

What I delivered

  • Procurement and logistics coordination
  • Staffing and onboarding plans
  • Learning environment setup
  • Standard onboarding systems

Skills used: launch management, vendor and procurement coordination, cross-team leadership

Regulatory corrective action

answering a state monitoring review

A licensed early learning facility

Plan of CorrectionBuilt, submitted, and carried out

The challenge

An unannounced state monitoring visit found staffing gaps. The facility needed an approved Plan of Correction before it could reopen.

My approach

I traced the staffing and compliance gaps to their root causes, then set corrective actions with owners and deadlines and documented the evidence for each one.

What I delivered

  • Formal Plan of Correction
  • Staffing corrections
  • Monitoring tools to prevent repeat findings

Skills used: compliance, regulator communication, fast implementation under pressure

Leadership pipeline

promoting from within

A multi-site early learning nonprofit

2 cohortsof frontline staff prepared for lead roles

The challenge

The organization needed qualified lead teachers and wanted to grow them from its own assistant teachers instead of hiring from outside.

My approach

I designed and led a structured fellowship with facilitated sessions, workbooks, field experience, and a stipend agreement that protected the organization’s investment.

What I delivered

  • Curriculum and facilitation packages
  • Participant workbooks
  • Stipend agreement
  • Briefing for funders

Skills used: workforce development, program design, funder reporting

Program management at scale

Performance management across 10 federally funded sites

At a large community action agency, I ran annual and quarterly planning and review cycles and turned site evaluations into training and technical assistance plans.

Portfolio stabilization

Steadying a portfolio after a leadership change

After a senior leader left, I took on their expansion, operations, and project portfolio, and built a master tracker, a task board, and a CEO dashboard so leadership could see priorities, risks, and deadlines.

Quality systems

One standard for coaching across sites

Coaching and onboarding varied by site. I designed a shared coaching framework with observation tools, meeting templates, and accountability checklists, and supervised the coaches using it.

Outside education

Four properties, concept to operations

I launched four short-term rental properties from concept to full operation, managing every vendor along the way.
